FDP Cornea Series: Google Classroom and Google Groups 19 & 21 July, 2016

The Cornea Series of Faculty Development Program for the Department of Basic Sciences, MBA, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering was held under the aegis of the Department of CSE on 19 July 2016 from 2:00 pm to 4:45 pm and subsequently on 21 July 2016 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm for the faculty of ECE, MCA, EEE, and CSE at the MBA Lab AB III. The sessions were held on the topic Google Classroom and Google Groups.

There were two sessions. The resource person for the first half was Mr Ragesh Raju, Assistant Professor Department of MCA who conducted a session on Google Classroom along with Mr Binu K G, Associate Professor, Department of ME and Mr Keith Fernandes, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE. The session gave hands on experience on Google Classroom. A lot of input was given on how to create a Google classroom, add students, create assignment, post information, comment on post, and grade the work done by students and so on. It was also demonstrated how a student can access Google classroom, Google Groups submit an assignment and many other tools of Google classroom.

Vice Principal Dr Rio D’souza, was the resource person for the second session, who conducted a session on Google Groups and Google Drive. He trained participants on how to create Google group and its various uses in sharing information among the group.
