The inaugural ceremony of Zephyr 2k17 - Two-Day National Level P.G. Management Fest, organized by the Department of Business Administration at SJEC, was held on 11thApril 2017. The ceremony commenced at 9:30 am. The function was graced by Rev. Fr Praveen Martis, Principal – St Aloysius College - Mangaluru, as the Chief Guest. Rev Fr Joseph J Lobo, Director – SJEC, Rev. Fr Rohith D’Costa, Assistant Director - SJEC, Dr Joseph Gonsalvis – Principal - SJEC, Dr Prakash Pinto – Dean MBA at SJEC, and Ms Chitralekha J Acharya- the Faculty Convener were present on the occasion
The Chief Guest Revs Fr Praveen Martis addressed the gathering with an inspirational talk. He narrated about the four C’s - competence, commitment, compassionate and conscience. In his talk, he also mentioned about three H’s- heart, head and hand; He stated that, when heart and head work together, the hands will reach out to achieve the vision. Fr Martis also stressed upon attitude; that matters most in life.
Rev. Fr Joseph Lobo thanked the Chief Guest for being the part of the event. He encouraged all the participants to actively take part in the Competitions. He wished the best for all the participants. Dr Joseph Gonsalvis, in his address threw lights on startups. He also mentioned that exposure and experience are two requisites for budding entrepreneurs to be successful.
18 teams from various Colleges attended the inaugural ceremony. Ms Joyce Saldanha extended the vote of thanks.
