Students can use the concept of preparing a business plan as a method of exploring new ideas for starting a business. A business plan is a series of questions that helps a person think about the requirements and the possibilities of any kind of business. The workshop aimed at helping the audience identify the key areas to be considered while framing a business plan.
Dr Anjali Ganesh started the session by interacting with the students to know their level of understanding on the subject. The quote “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail” was used by Dr Anjali to explain the importance of the workshop. Dr Anjali highlighted the three core areas of a business plan which were, product plan, marketing plan and financial plan. A detailed explanation on various components of a business plan was provided to the students. Live examples of various business enterprises like Airtel, Infosys, Paytm, Tata Motors and Flipkart were discussed to understand the strategies followed by them. The session was very informative and interactive and ended with a series of queries from the students, which were answered by Dr Anjali Ganesh.
