The Parent-Teacher Meet for II semester B.E. students was held on Saturday, 24rd March 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Kalam Auditorium, Academic Block II. Around 200 parents/guardians along with their wards were present for the meeting. Around 50 faculty members, who teach II semester BE, were present. The meeting commenced with a prayer followed by the welcome address by Dr Rio D’Souza, Vice Principal - SJEC. In his address, he also stressed the importance of Parent Teacher meet. Dr Jyothi K, HOD - Chemistry and the Coordinator of Parent - Teacher Meet 2018 presented a detailed report on the academic performance of students in the first internals of II semester, their attendance status from 29-01-2018 to 03-03-2018 and I semester performance. Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director - SJEC in his address, asked the students to put in hard work and dedication to achieve success.
Usage of SIMS software was demonstrated by the SIMS representatives to the parents. Parents were requested to download the SIMS app in their mobiles and experience the use. Ms Prathima, Asst. Professor, Chemistry Department compeered the programme and delivered the vote of thanks. This was followed by the interaction between parents and teachers, which was held section wise in the auditorium. The parents had useful interaction with the faculty and obtained feedback regarding the performance of their wards.
