The Department of Business Administration organized an orientation program for the aspirants of Civil Service Examinations on 21st March 2018 in Bishop Aloysius Paul Conference Hall. The program was conducted by Mr Shahid Hashmi and Mr Nazeer Ahmed from Ace IAS Academy, Mangaluru. Mr Shahid Hashmi in his address said to crack country’s toughest examination one need not be intelligent and studious. Throughout the examination process of UPSC, the aspirants prepare in the areas like general knowledge, common sense, aptitude, ethics and communication skill. Mr Hashmi said before starting the preparations for civil service examinations one has to prepare mentally and physically for the examination. Set the goals and devote time effectively. There are many services in UPSC civil services. One has to choose their career accordingly. The different position has different roles. He advised the aspirants on various aspects of preparations for civil service examinations like the strategies for the exams, time management, suggested reading, mental balance etc. The students attended the programme across the engineering branches and from MBA.
