The Department of Electronics And Communication Engineering conducted a Mini Project Exhibition for 2nd and 3rd year students on 30th April 2018 under the banner of ISTE Students Chapter - SJEC. This initiative was planned with an aim to generate better exposure among students on software and hardware technologies, especially Arduino and Raspberry Pi, which are the current trends in industry.
A total of 56 mini projects were displayed, which includes 28 from 2nd year and 28 from 3rdYear. More than 30 Students had the opportunity to exhibit their work in Pilikula during the inauguration of Swami Vivekananda planetarium. This platform gave them an opportunity to interact with the common people and students of various schools and colleges. Moreover, projects from SJEC were much appreciated by the visitors.
Dr Vincent Crasta, Professor & Head, Department of Physics, Dr Binu KG Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Ms Pramila M, Assistant Professor Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Mr Subrahmanya K, Assistant Professor Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering,were invited as judges along with Dr Savitha H M Professor, Ms Jennifer S Saldanha, Ms Rashmi H and Mr Keith R Fernandes Assistant Professors of E&C Department.
The valedictory function was held at Fr Fred Memorial Hall at 12.30 P.M. Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director SJEC, Rev. Fr. Rohit D’Costa, Assistant Director SJEC, Dr Joseph Gonsalvis, Principal, SJEC and Ms Dayakshini HOD,ECE SJEC Presided the function. Ms Dayakshini HOD of ECE welcomed the gathering. A Brief report on Mini Project 2018 was presented by Mr Mahesha Y, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE. Student projects were appreciated by Principal Dr Joseph Gonsalvis. He inspired students to take more initiatives in building innovative projects. Best projects were awarded by Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director SJEC. Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director SJEC delivered the presidential address. Session was concluded with vote of thanks by MS Priya Seema Miranda, Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE. Ms Shivani of fourth year ECE was Master of Ceremony.
