The Department of Business Administration at SJEC organised a session on Career opportunities for MBA students in Banking on 28th April 2018 at 3:00 pm at Spoorthi Hall. Ms Swathi K, Manager, Canara Bank – Padubidri, handled the session. The Department as part of the Industry Academia Interface organized the talk. Miss Shakila B, Asst Professor, Department of Business Administration at SJEC introduced and welcomed the speaker to the gathering.
Ms Swathi began her talk by sharing her experience as a banker. She enlightened the students on various opportunities banking sector provides for their career. She stated that banking sector jobs are full opportunities for growth. Candidates get opportunities for high pay scale, growth, going aboard etc. There is a higher scope of getting early growth in this career. Ms Swathi also mentioned that banking has traditionally been one of the best options for commerce graduates. Of late, many Engineering and Medical students are showing great interest in this stream. In addition, Ms Swathi also presented the strategies required to crack IBPS examination. Which is an entrance exam for career in banking. The session witnessed active participation from all corners of the audience and concluded on a positive note. The session concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms Shareen D’Souzaof final year MBA.
