The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering celebrated Engineers Day on the 27th of October, 2017. The department organized two events for the students as part of the celebration.
The first event was named ‘High Tension’ and was conducted for the students of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at 1:30 pm. The event consisted of 5 rounds. Round 1 was an elimination round where 18 of the 95 participants qualified to participate in the next round. The second round was called 'Circuit Solving' where 18 participants were divided into 6 teams. 4 Teams qualified to take part in Round 3 - 'Balloon Blasting', Round 4 - 'Technical Dumb-Charades' and Round 5 - 'Object Collection based on the English Alphabet'. At the end of rounds three, four and five points were allotted to each team. At the end of the fifth round the team which secured the maximum points was declared as the winners and the second maximum as runners up.
The second year E&E students organized the second event - ‘Technical Treasure Hunt’. A total of 30 teams consisting of 3 member each had participated in the event. An online elimination round was conducted using Google Forms and QR codes. The top 5 teams from the first round qualified to the next round. In the treasure hunt the participants had to find batteries for the wire loop and complete it. Prizes was awarded to 2 teams that completed the task in the shortest amount of time.Ms Divya Pai and Ms Madhavi, Assistant Professor E&E congratulated the winners & distributed the prizes & certificates.
