Project exhibition cum competition was conducted for the final year Electrical and Electronics students on 18 May 2018. An overall of 15 teams participated in the exhibition cum competition. Dr Rajalakshmi Samaga, HOD - E&E of Canara Engineering College – Benjanapadavu, and Mr Ajeya B, Jr Engineer at JSW Steel Pvt Ltd Bellary, evaluated the projects. The event commenced from 9.00 am in the morning and went on till 4.00 pm in the evening.
Parents of the final year students, the second and the third year undergraduate students were the spectators of the exhibition cum competition. The team members Mr Adarsha H, Mr Alex, Mr Jasin Yusuf, and Mr Ajith Jose for their project titled Ginger Processing Machine guided by Dr Sheryl Colaco and Dr Joseph Gonsalves, bagged the first prize in the competition. The second prize was bagged by Ms Anwitha J Alwa, Ms Nawal, Ms Jazeela M H, and Ms Fahima Arif for their project A smart device based on women security on IOT guided by Mr Deepesh Kanchan. The innovative prize was bagged by the team members Ms Vinisha Selma Veigas, Ms Shravya U, Mr Safwan and Mr Joyson Melrick Madtha for the project titled Remote controlled floating waste collector guided by Ms Chaithra Shetty.
The prizes were handed over to the winners at the valedictory function held in the Relay Laboratory of the Department at 12.30 pm on the same day.
