MBA: MDP on “Leadership Skills for Women Entrepreneurs”

One day Management Development Programme on “Leadership Skills for Women Entrepreneurs” was organized by the Department of Business Administration, St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru as on 18th January, 2019 at Spoorthi Conference Hall. The programme commenced at 9.30 am and was inaugurated by Ms. Shipra Rai, Entrepreneur of Sprindrift and Thymes Restaurant and also HR Manager at Mphasis, Mangaluru.

The dignitaries on the dais were Ms. Shipra Rai-Chief Guest, Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza- President, Fr. Glenn Kohrman, Pastor, Indiana, Dr Sudheer M- Incharge Principal and Rev Fr Rohith D’Costa-Assistant Director as the guests of honour, Dr Prakash Pinto, Dean-MBA, Ms K.Manjula Faculty Convener-MDP  were present in the inaugural ceremony.

The Resource person for the first session was Ms. Shipra Rai who spoke on her life’s Journey as a women entrepreneur. The topic covered under second session was “various schemes available for women entrepreneurs” and the speaker was Mr. A.R. Nagesh, Senior Manager (Technical), KSFC, Mangaluru. After lunch break, the third session commenced at 2.00 pm. The Resource Person Ms. Renu Jayaram, Entrepreneur-Jayadev Motors, Manipal spoke on “Key Skills for successful Women Entrepreneurs”. The last session was on the topic “Challenges and problems faced by women entrepreneurs” and the speaker was Ms.Vathika Pai, Entrepreneur of Nirmala Travels and IPP of KCCI, Mangaluru.
