Students are allowed to borrow books subject to the following rules of the library:
The Central Library is kept open between 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on regular working days.

A membership card must be applied for along with three stamp size photographs. Tow Borrower's Cards are given to a member. The cards are not transferable. One Borrower Card enables the member to borrow one book at a time for which he/she is held responsible. In case of damage or loss, the member shall be required to replace it or pay double the cost.
Loss of Borrower Car and Library Membership Card shall be intimated to the Librarian in writing. Duplicate card will be issued at the cost or Rs:10/- per Borrower Card and Rs:100/- per Library Membership Card after verification. To obtain "No Dues Certificate" from the College, members should return all books borrowed, pay overdue charges if an y and surrender the Borrower's Cards/Library Membership card to the Library.
There is provision to issue one overnight reference book to be returned next day morning before 8.15am. A fine of Rs:10/- for every half an hour will be imposed on those who fail to return on time.
Membership is granted on payment of admission fees Rs:25/- and a refundable interest free deposit of Rs:500/- for UG and Rs:1000/- for PG students (of which Rs:500/- is refundable). Two text books will be issued for the duration of a semester and must be returned latest on the last examination day of the semester.
Strict silence must be observed in the Library, reading room and the verandah leading to the library. Personal belongings like bags, books, coats, mobile, umbrella and caps etc. are not allowed in to the library, Writing, drawing on the reading tables is strictly prohibited.
