The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering in association with ISTE SJEC Student Chapter organized a technical talk on Accident Prevention and Awareness on Personal Protective Equipment by Resource Person Mr Shivraj, Manager (Safety & Training) at KIOCL - Mangaluru on 12 th May 2017 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in Fr Fred Seminar Hall.
The Talk was organised for 4 th year EEE students as a finishing school activity. The programme was aimed at providing awareness on accident prevention in industrial sectors & existing personal protective equipment. In his talk, the resource person presented statistics of accidents for the past three years that occurred in the industries, in India as well as in Kaataka. He also explained the various causes for the industrial accidents and the proper measures to be taken, to prevent these accidents. Resource person gave a detailed description and use of existing personal protective equipment in the industry to prevent the accidents.
The session was informative & all students appreciated the programme.
