In academics, you will be guided by experienced and dedicated faculty. For every 20 students, there is a qualified teacher. Please meet them regularly and interact with them outside class hours. They are trained to help students resolve both academic and personal challenges. Additionally, every class has a Faculty Advisor, and each student is assigned a Mentor to support academic progress. The College Library provides access to comprehensive online resources, while the Central Computer Centre ensures internet connectivity through Wi-Fi systems in both academic blocks and hostels.

Make the most of the numerous forums available to develop and enhance your personality. Department associations and clubs organize intra- and inter-college events at both formal and informal levels. Participation in co-curricular activities will help you acquire communication, organizational, and leadership skills—essential for advancing your career. After class, spend time exercising on the field or in the gym. SJEC offers facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports and provides coaching to prepare students for VTU-sponsored sports and athletic events.

We acknowledge that technical education demands not only self-discipline and diligence but also emotional balance and well-being. Therefore, the college has a qualified, resident Campus Counsellor and Campus Minister to assist students. The College Chapel offers a space for solitude, meditation, and prayer. Catholic students are encouraged to participate in the early morning services conducted daily.
