M.SC. IN ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING(IEV)
M.SC. IN ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING
The candidate who have passed B.E / B.Tech Examination of VTU or
any other university with minimum of 60% or equivalent Grade.
However, a relaxation to the extent of 10% shall be allowed to
SC/ST or any other category as notified by the Government of
Karnataka from time to time.
OR
Teaching / Research Staff / Teaching Assistants working in any
Engineering college or Polytechnic Institutions recognized by
AICTE either in the State of Karnataka or outside, who have passed
B.E / B.Tech Examination with minimum of One Year Teaching
Experience.
OR
Employees of the State Government / Central Government / Quasi
Government Organizations / Public Sector Industries / Reputed
Private Industries / Awardees of research fellowship by nationally
recognized bodies like CSIR etc., who have passed B.E / B.Tech
Examination with minimum of One Year working experience.
A candidate satisfying the above criteria can meet the concerned
Heads of the departments for further information.
In addition to the above, the candidate shall be qualified in GATE
or in the University Level Research Aptitude test, the result of
which is valid for a period of Three years.
Admission - The Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate shall possess a Master Degree in Engineering/ Technology /
Management/ Science of VTU or any other University with minimum of 60% or equivalent Grade at
Master’s Degree examinations. However, a relaxation to the extent of 10% shall be allowed to SC/ST
or any other category as notified by the Government of Karnataka from time to time OR candidate with a
minimum of five years experience in teaching or research, subject to the approval of VTU.

candidate satisfying the above criteria can meet the concerned Heads of the Departments for further
information.
In addition to the above, the candidate shall be qualified in the University Level
Research Aptitude test, the result of which is valid for a period two years.
