has to be curious to know anything they see and lea. How and Why are the
questions to be asked to excel in our domains and design new things. He also
motivated the slow leaers by emphasizing on the ten things to be followed to
be successful in life. Success is not equal to money, students should develop
the habit of reading books & reading 2 column papers, publishing the
research work carried out is not mandatory but if published the life of it will
be more than the life of the researcher. So all ethical aspects should be
followed while publishing the paper.
One hour session ended with questions and answers. The resource person motivated everyone to be curious and become good researchers in their own domains of engineering. At the end the resource person was felicitated with memento and appreciation.

Brief about the proceedings of the event:
The event started at 10:30 AM on 11th Aug
2022 in HDL lab. Ms. Rupal introduced the resource persons to the gathering.
HOD Dr Dayakshini welcomed everyone. Mr.
Balavignesh, Specialist in Audio Vestibular medicine at Cyclops
Medtech gave a brief on the Workshop. He explained about the dynamic visual
acuity why it is required etc. Dynamic Visual Acuity (DVA) is a test to evaluate the vestibulo-ocular
reflex (VOR). The function of the VOR is to fixate images of objects in
the eyes that we see in the surroundings when we move our heads or when the
head moves or when both the head as well as the visual object moves. If the VOR
is defective the images are not steadily fixed in the eyes and the subject
feels vertiginous. Poor VOR is one of the common reasons for which a patient
presents to the doctor with head spinning or imbalance and the VOR needs to be
tested in all patients who present to the doctor with vertigo or imbalance. DVA
is one of the tests to evaluate the functional status of the VOR. The test is
very much like an eye test that the optometrist does to test a patient's
vision. There are different letters of the alphabet in different sizes
projected in a computer screen and the person is asked to read the letters with
the head fixed and while moving the head at a particular speed. The test takes
about 10-15 minutes time in cooperative person and is a non-invasive painless
test that does not cause any vertiginous sensation to person under test. The
goal of the workshop was to collect the normative data from the volunteer
students. 80 students participated in the test. The inaugural ended with a vote
of thanks by the convener Dr Sandhya Dass. 80 students volunteered for the data
acquisition during the 3-day workshop.
