The ‘Mind Quest’ Technical Quiz Competition

On October 1, 2024, as part of the IEEE Day celebrations, the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, in association with the IEEE SJEC Student Branch, organized "Mind Quest," a technical quiz competition. The event, held at the MBA Computer Lab, SJEC, was open to both B.E. and P.G. students, attracting considerable interest with 54 teams participating.

The quiz consisted of two rounds, conducted online via the Quizizz platform. Participants were tested on IEEE-related topics as well as interdisciplinary knowledge, providing a broad range of technical challenges. After intense competition, the top three teams were announced:

1. First place: Coronary Vein Disease (team members: Jenica Deanne D’Souza and Nicole Alberta Lasrado)
2. Second place: V2 (team members: Jenish Martis and Adish Naik)
3. Third place: 2V (team members: Hemanth R. Swamy and Jaison Dsouza)

Prizes were distributed by Dr. Dayakshini, Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The event was coordinated by faculty members Dr. Jennifer C. Saldanha and Ms. Chaitra U. R, with support from student coordinators. It was well-received and added a dynamic touch to the IEEE Day celebrations at SJEC.
