Blood Donation Camp

The Youth Red Cross of St Joseph Engineering College, in collaboration with the Alumni Association, SJEC Foundation, and KMC Medical Hospital, successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp on 29th April 2024 at the Fr Fred Memorial Hall. The camp commenced at 9:30 AM and continued until 3:30 PM, providing an excellent opportunity for students to contribute to a noble cause.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various branches, demonstrating their social responsibility and empathy. A total of 106 students donated blood, making the camp a grand success. The collected blood units will significantly contribute to addressing the critical need for blood in hospitals and saving lives.

Medical professionals from KMC Medical Hospital ensured the smooth conduct of the blood donation process. The donors were given proper guidance and care throughout the event, with medical checks conducted prior to the donation to ensure their eligibility and safety.

The camp's success was made possible through the tireless efforts of the organizers, volunteers, and medical staff. The initiative not only contributed to a vital healthcare need but also fostered a sense of community service among the participants.

The organizers expressed their gratitude to all donors, volunteers, and supporting organizations for their valuable contributions to this life-saving cause. The event exemplified SJEC's commitment to promoting humanitarian values and health awareness.
