AICUF Meeting

The meeting commenced with a silent prayer, seeking the blessings of the Almighty. Fr. Merwyn welcomed all the animators present and introduced the agenda for the meeting, which was to provide a brief overview of AICUF and discuss the various activities that can be organized under its banner.

Fr. Merwyn emphasized that AICUF activities should focus on three key dimensions: Intellectual, Social, and Spiritual. He explained that every action plan undertaken by an AICUF unit should aim to strengthen at least one of these dimensions. As an example, he mentioned that the session on how to prepare a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) conducted earlier fell under the Social dimension. He also encouraged every AICUF member to reflect on the question, "Why am I an AICUFer?", highlighting the importance of understanding the purpose and values of the movement.

Fr. Merwyn then briefed the members about the AICUF State Council Elections, which were scheduled to be held on 25th and 26th July 2026. He also shared several suggestions for meaningful activities that AICUF units could undertake. These included inviting resource persons from other AICUF units to conduct interactive sessions, organizing intercollegiate competitions by inviting students from other colleges, visiting old-age homes or slum communities, and carrying out social analyses of the living conditions and challenges faced by people residing in slums.

Finally, Fr. Merwyn advised that if it is difficult to attract a large number of students initially, the unit should focus on forming a committed group of around 50 interested students. Through meaningful and impactful activities, the group can gradually promote AICUF and inspire more students to become active members.

The meeting concluded with a renewed understanding of AICUF's mission and a commitment to plan activities that contribute to the intellectual, social, and spiritual development of students while serving society.
