Description of the Activity:
The Catholic Youth Convention 2026 was held at St. Joseph’s Pre-University College, Bengaluru, bringing together students from different colleges for a day of spiritual enrichment and interaction.
From St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru, four AICUFers—Ms. Vinisha Dias, Mr. Aakanksh Dominic, Ms. Akshaya Maria, and Ms. Nathasha Dias—participated in the convention.
The programme began with breakfast, followed by the registration process of participants. After registration, all participants gathered in Loyola Hall, where the event officially began with a short prayer, creating a calm and spiritual atmosphere.
This was followed by a brief introduction by Prajwal Bhaiya, who welcomed the participants and gave an overview of the convention.
A few small ice-breaker activities were conducted to help participants feel comfortable and interact with one another.
An action zone activity was then conducted to energize the participants and promote teamwork and active participation. This was followed by a music concert by the team, which created a lively and joyful environment.
A key session was conducted by Prajwal Cheta, who spoke about the purpose of the gathering and emphasized the responsibility of youth towards God and society. His session encouraged participants to reflect deeply on their role as young individuals.
After a short break, a praise and worship session was conducted, creating a spiritually uplifting experience. This was followed by a session on confession, where participants learned about the meaning of sin, the importance of confession, and the need for seeking forgiveness.
Another impactful session was led by James, where participants reflected on “What God has done in my life” and “What is God’s purpose in my life.” He also shared his personal testimony, which deeply inspired the participants.
Following this, there was a lunch break for all participants.
After lunch, the participants took part in Adoration and Confession, providing a moment for personal prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
The programme concluded with a short vote of thanks, followed by a tea break, marking the end of the convention.
