St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, through its AICTE IDEA Lab, in association with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, organized a three-day workshop on Advanced Manufacturing Processes from 11th to 13th September 2025.
The workshop was specially designed for Diploma students of SNM Polytechnic, Moodbidri, and SNS Polytechnic, Bajpe, to provide hands-on exposure to modern manufacturing technologies. The initiative was in line with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and AICTE’s vision to promote experiential learning and industry-ready skills among budding engineers.

Conclusion
The three-day Workshop on Advanced Manufacturing Processes successfully fulfilled its objectives of promoting practical learning and skill development among diploma students. By engaging students directly with cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, SJEC IDEA Lab has strengthened the bridge between polytechnic education and industry practices.
