The Department of Civil Engineering, in association with the NIRMAN Students’ Association, organized a hands-on workshop titled “Excel for Creative Problem-Solving” for 7th-semester Civil Engineering students on 25th August 2025 at the CAD Lab.

The session was conducted by Mr. Ananth Alias Rohith Bhat P., Assistant Professor, MBA - SJEC. The workshop began at 9:00 AM and focused on enhancing students’ skills in using Microsoft Excel as a powerful tool for solving engineering-related problems creatively and effectively.

Students were introduced to practical applications of Excel in civil engineering, including data analysis, problem-solving techniques, and visualization methods. The hands-on approach enabled participants to work directly on examples and gain confidence in applying Excel to real-world engineering scenarios.

The workshop was well-received by the students, who appreciated the interactive format and the relevance of the content to their academic and professional growth.

The event was coordinated by Mr. Chitharanjan M., Assistant Professor and Faculty Coordinator of the NIRMAN Civil Engineering Students’ Association. The session concluded under the guidance of Dr. B. Yajnheswaran, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering.
