MBA & MBA (IEV) Orientation Program 2025–27

The Department of Business Administration, St. Joseph Engineering College (Autonomous), Mangaluru organized the Orientation Program for the MBA & MBA (IEV) 2025–27 batch from 28 October to 06 November 2025 at Spoorthi Hall, Academic Block III, with one session held at Prerana Hall. The program aimed to welcome the new batch, introduce institutional values, and prepare students for their academic journey.

The program commenced on 28 October 2025 with an introductory address on the MBA Department by Dr. Prakash Pinto, Professor & Dean–MBA. This was followed by an insightful session on Corporate Expectations from MBA Graduates by Mr. Sujith Maroli, Co-Founder, OneHourLearning.

On 29 October 2025, Ms. Sachitha Nandagopal, Youth Leadership Mentor, conducted an interactive session on Team Building and Leadership, helping students understand collaborative and leadership-driven learning.

The session on Handling Academic Stress with Positivity by Dr. P. G. Aquinas, Professor & Chairman, PG Department of Social Work, Mangalore University, was held on 30 October 2025, focusing on emotional resilience and stress management.

On 31 October 2025, Dr. Rio D’Souza, Principal, SJEC, addressed the students on Professional Approach to Life, followed by a valuable Alumni Interaction with Ms. Akshatha P, Jr. Finance Business Partner, EG-India, who shared her academic and corporate experiences.

On 03 November 2025, Dr. Sudheer M, Professor & Dean–Academics, detailed the Academic Regulations and Curriculum Structure of the MBA & MBA (IEV) programs.
A Library Orientation by Dr. Felcy D’Souza, Librarian, SJEC, was conducted on 04 November 2025, enabling students to understand the academic resources available.

The concluding sessions on 06 November 2025 included MBA Examination Regulations by Dr. Rohan Pinto, Controller of Examinations, followed by another Library Orientation. The final session on Mentoring, Counselling, Discipline and Jagruthi was delivered by Dr. Jyothi D, Dean–Student Welfare, and Ms. Preetha Aroza, Campus Counsellor, emphasizing student support systems and campus welfare.

The Orientation Program provided the new batch with essential academic, professional, and personal guidance to begin their postgraduate learning journey. The event was coordinated by Dr. Shakila B., Associate Professor, Department of Business Administartion under the guidance of Dr. Prakash Pinto, Professor & Dean–MBA.
