The inauguration of AICUF for the academic year 2022-23 took place on June 15, 2023, at Spoorthi Hall at 2.30 pm. The event was graced by Rev Fr Wilfred Prakash Dsouza, Director SJEC, as the presiding officer, along with Mr Audy Rego, President of All Banks' Christian Employees Association, Mangaluru, as the Chief Guest. Rev Fr Kenneth Rayner Crasta, Assistant Director SJEC, and Dr Rio D'souza, Principal SJEC, were the esteemed Guest of Honour. The program commenced with blessings and a warm welcome by Ms Florence Nishmitha, the Staff coordinator of AICUF SJEC, who introduced the chief guest. Rev Fr Kenneth Rayner Crasta administered the oath to the new office bearers, and Dr Rio Dsouza addressed the audience, emphasizing the motto of AICUF. Mr Audy Rego shared his insights on social service and student engagement in helping the underprivileged, while the former office bearers were honored. Rev Fr Wilfred Prakash Dsouza discussed the objectives of AICUF and his views on uplifting society. The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms Tina Benita Rego, President of AICUF SJEC. The event also included fun games organized by student coordinators to promote friendship and happiness, followed by refreshments for all attendees.
