Green Building Model Competition

The Green Building Model Competition was organized by SHILPA – Students Project Club, Department of Civil Engineering, St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru, on 13th December 2025 at the SHILPA Lab, Civil Block, to promote sustainable construction and the use of waste materials in green buildings. The event began at 9:30 AM and was inaugurated by the In-charge HOD, Dr. Nishitha J D’Souza. A total of 11 teams participated, presenting innovative models based on the theme “Innovative Green Building Using Waste Materials,” which were evaluated by Dr. ESTR Chandra Sekhar and Mr. Chitharanjan. The competition concluded at 12:30 PM with prize distribution, awarding ₹2000 for first prize and ₹1000 for second prize, along with e-certificates to all participants, and the event was successfully coordinated by the student and faculty coordinators. The event was well-coordinated by the student coordinators Saatwik N Thokkuttu and Hemanth A N, under the guidance of the faculty coordinators Dr. Aswathy C M, Ms. Sinchana K, and Dr. Yajhneswaran B, HOD – Civil Engineering Department.
