The Department of Chemistry under the banner of, ChemAtom Association, organized student outreach programme to Phalguni Higher Primary School, Mallur on 22 nd February 2020. The objective of the visit was developing young minds towards analytical thinking in science topics through experiments and games.
The team consisting of faculties and first year B.E students offered varieties of experiments in front of the students. Topics of the experiments included atoms, elements, chemical reactions and chemical bonding. The children were asked quiz questions and the timely response of them made us to feel that they had good leaing experience. We could observe joyful participation from their side.
Later to make the environment more fun full our engineering students presented a few cultural programmes and also exciting games. The children participated with full of excitement and enjoyment.
All the students were gifted with stationery items .Refreshments were served to all.
The school management appreciated the overall event and also requested us to conduct such activities each year, so that their students can become more proficient in scientific knowledge.
