To create awareness among our students with respect to the study strategies to crack GATE examination, various opportunities after civil engineering and to brief about Build India Scholarship-LNT, the Department of Civil Engineering in association with SJEC Alumni Cell had organized a talk on the topic "The Next Step after Civil Engineering" for the 5thand 7th semester Civil Engineering students of SJEC on 22nd March from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm at Prerana Hall. This event was organised by Ms Vishikha Keshava, the civil engineering department's Alumina coordinator.
The resource person was our proud alumnus Mr. Sheik Mohammad Zunain, who secured 4th rank in VTU Examination 2020-2021.
Mr. Zunain spoke about strategies to prepare for higher studies and also gave insights about important software's that are required to be a sustainable engineer. He interacted with the students throughout the session and motivated them with his real life experience. His presentation enlightened civil engineering students. Mr. Aditya, a final year student, inquired about the relevant software that might be employed in furthering his civil engineering career. Mr. Zunain was extremely knowledgeable and provided thoughtful responses to all of our questions.
As a symbol of affection and gratitude, Dr. Yagneswaran B, HOD of Civil Engineering Department, presented Mr. Sheik Mohammad Zunain with the memento. With his words, he also inspired the students.
