The Department of Civil Engineering in association with ISTE-SJEC Student Chapter organized a one-day industrial visit to Water Treatment Plant and Intake structure at tumbe and Sewage Treatment Plant, Kavoor, Mangaluru on 18th November 2019 for VII Semester students. Two faculty members Mr. Prashant Kurdekar and Mr. Ajeeth accompanied a group of 56 students.
The main objective of the visit was to give students exposure on the onsite water treatment process, intake structures like jack well and pumping station and also make them aware about how various wastewater treatment processes are carried out in the municipal treatment plant.
