The Academic Project Exhibition and Competition for the final year students of Computer Science and Engineering Department under the banner of TECHNOVA 2017, was conducted on 26 May 2017. There were 36 teams who participated in this event.
The projects were evaluated by a panel of exteal and inteal judges. The three exteal judges were Dr Balasubramani R, Professor of ISE Department at NMAMIT - Nitte, Mr Radhakrishna, Associate Professor of CSE Department at NMAMIT – Nitte, and Mr Manjunath Kotari, Professor & Head of CSE Department at Alvas College of Engineering & Technology - Moodabidri. The team of inteal judges consisted of Ms Sunitha Guruprasad, Assistant Professor of CSE Department, Ms Supriya Salian, Assistant Professor of CSE Department and Ms Sujatha M, Assistant Professor of CSE Department.
The first prize was bagged by the project titled: Interactive Touch Screen Projector by Mr Akshay Kumar Crasta, Mr Arvind Hebal, Mr Arvind Prabhu, & Ms Namratha Bhat under the guidance of Ms Sona M, Assistant Professor - CSE. The second prize was bagged by the project titled: Android Operated Home Automation using IOT by Mr Clintan Joyan Roche, Mr Gareth Conrad Soares, & Mr Able John under the guidance of Mr Sunil Kamath, Assistant Professor - CSE. The award for the most innovative project went to the project titled Voice Controlled Smart Mirror System using Raspberry Pi by Mr Kenneth Gomes, Ms Nanditha Hegde & Mr Rayas Rahiman under the guidance of Mr Shreenath Acharya, Assistant Professor - CSE.
The event concluded with a Valedictory Function at 1:00 pm.
A few Parents of 2nd year and 3rd year students visited the Department to view the Projects.
