CSE: Tiara 2019 Report On Adroit

The Mega event for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering for Tiara 2019 was conducted on 13.03.2019, day 1 of the fest. The event was conducted by the student event coordinators Elrica Costa and Jaanhvi Hehar. A total of 64 participants took part in this event. The event began at 11 a.m. and consisted of 3 rounds.

The first round was conducted in Academic Block 3 in rooms 3602 and 3603. This round consisted of riddles, mysteries and logical reasoning problems that the participants had to solve using their wits. The top 12 teams qualified for the next round.

Round 2 consisted of each team being divided into two sub teams. One sub team solved riddles to obtain clues and directed the other half of their team to corresponding locations based on the clues. This round took place all across the campus. The first 8 teams to complete this round qualified for the next round.

The final round of Adroit was conducted in the college football ground. It was divided into two sub rounds. The first sub round was an obstacle course that was created using tires, bricks and tables. One participant from each team had to navigate through this course blind folded while his team mates guided him through the course. 6 teams qualified for the 2nd sub round which was the deciding round for the event. The final round was a human X and O game where each team had to place their team members tu by tu in a 3 by 3 grid of 9 chairs. The round and event was won by Prasanna Kumar P., Manikanta, Abhishek Suresh and Hussain Salman from A.J Institute of Engineering and Technology and the runners up were Mohammed Yake Ruknaddin, Zuyufullah Manna and Siddique from Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management.

The event concluded with the prize distribution where the winning team and the runners up were handed certificates along with a cash prize of rupees 2500 and 1500 respectively by Ms. Sujatha M., Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science.
