CSE: Tiara 2019 Report On Pubg

Department of Computer Science and Engineering in association with Tiara-2019 organized Pubg which is a gaming event on 13th March 2019 in Academic Block III, 6th floor, Webinar Hall from 11:30 a.m. onwards. A total of 54 teams participated in the event. The event was conducted by the student event coordinators, Crystal Fay Dsouza and Shreema Simran. Manjesh G and Errol D’Mello spearheaded the event.

Pubg is a game where you start with nothing and have to scavenge and collect weapons and equipment. The game is ultimately a battle to the last player standing, with 100 players on an 8*8 Km Island.

Each team comprised of 4 members who actively participated in this gaming event and in tu this event provided a platform for enhancing their sills. The participants had to get their own mobile for participation. The teams were divided into slots of 3 with each slot consisting of 25, 15 and 14 teams respectively. Top 5 teams were selected from each slot and they competed in the finals to become the ultimate champion.

The details of the event are as shown below:

·         Finally, only 15 teams made it into the final round

·         The event ended at 5 p.m.

The first prize was bagged by Ajanth kotian, Chethan Shetty,Shivaraj and renson Dsouza from 2nd year, St. Joseph Engineering College and the second prize was won by Manjunath, Ashwin R S, Mazin and Muhammad Rumaiz from 3rd year, St. Joseph Engineering College.

The event concluded with the prize distribution where the winning team was handed over certificates and also a cash prize of Rs. 1500 and Rs. 1000 respectively.
