The event named TROJAN SPARTANS was held on second day of Tiara 2019 that is on 14th March 2019.The event consisted of two rounds namely Mind Sweepers and Maverick Helpers. There were a total of 22 teams that registered for the event that began by 9:45am.
The first round Mind Sweepers was divided into two sub-rounds. The first sub-round consisted of quizzes from technical and non-technical fields that was conducted through audiovisual medium. The second sub-round was crosswords that were handed out on sheets to each team. The participants were eliminated based on the total score of the two sub-rounds with the top ten teams making it through to the second and final round. The final round was named Maverick Helpers.
This round began with teams having to debug programs, solve flowcharts and assemble jumbled code to find out a particular phrase in order to win. The fastest two teams were selected as winners. The first place was awarded to Anurag D Shetty and Glen Ignatius Lobo from 3rd year Computer Science Department.
The second prize was bagged by Nasil Saniah and Shravan Baliga K again from 3rd year Computer Science.
The prize and certificates were presented to the winners by Mr.Bola Sunil Kamath, Associate Professor at St.Joseph Engineering College. The event along with prize distribution concluded by 12pm, marking the end of an extremely successful event.
