AICUF, SJEC Unit Inauguration

The AICUF SJEC Unit inaugurated its activities for the academic year 2026–27 on 22 May 2026 at Spoorthi Hall, AB III, St. Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor. Organized under the Cultural and Community Group (CCG) in association with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, volunteers, and AICUF members.

The programme commenced with a prayer song, followed by a welcome address by Mr. Ajay Preenal D’Souza, President of AICUF SJEC, who highlighted the vision and mission of AICUF and encouraged students to actively engage in leadership and service-oriented activities.

The inauguration was formally marked by the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Ms. Jassica Santhmayor, Former KRYC General Secretary and Former AICUF National Convenor. The newly elected core committee members then took an oath of commitment and service for the academic year.

Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director of SJEC, addressed the gathering and inspired students to develop leadership qualities, social responsibility, and a spirit of unity. The event also recognized students who had achieved leadership positions at the state level, bringing pride to the institution and motivating others to take up leadership roles.

A presentation highlighting the activities and achievements of AICUF SJEC during the previous academic year was delivered by Ms. Vinisha Dias. In her keynote address, the Chief Guest encouraged students to become socially responsible leaders and actively participate in initiatives that contribute to society.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by interactive games and team-building activities conducted for students. The event successfully provided a meaningful beginning to the academic year, fostering leadership, teamwork, service, and community engagement among students.

The inauguration concluded with the AICUF Anthem, leaving participants inspired and motivated for the year ahead.
