Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EELS), Torque student association & Eco club organized a talk on "Climate Emergency' for VI semester EEE and mechanical engineering students on 17.05.2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Mr. H. Shashidar Shetty, General Secretary, and Mr. Benedict Feandes, Member, National Environment Care Foundation (NECF), Mangaluru were the resource persons. The objective of the workshop was to create awareness of nature preservation through renewable energy sources and the planting of trees. Mr Benedict Feandes provided information on deforestation and fossil fuels ruining the environment through Co2 emission and global warming. He stressed the role of planting trees by students to save nature for future generations. Mr Shashidar Shetty shared his experience as an environmentalist and called the students to be volunteers in the service of nature.
