The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with ISTE and the Research Facility Group of SJEC, conducted a Hands-On Workshop on Technical Paper Writing for Pre-Final Year EEE students. The event took place in the PSS Lab from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The workshop aimed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge for effectively writing and formatting technical papers according to IEEE standards. Topics covered included the importance of adhering to IEEE formatting standards for consistency and professionalism, techniques for writing clear and concise abstracts and introductions, common pitfalls in technical writing and how to avoid them, and the effective use of figures, tables, and references to enhance paper quality. The hands-on exercises and peer-review sessions were particularly appreciated for providing real-world experience. Approximately 58 students attended the sessions.
