The inauguration ceremony of the AICUF SJEC Unit took place on 7th May 2025 at Spoorthi Hall, with Br.Bleston Lobo as the esteemed chief guest. Alongside dignitaries including Director- Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D Souza, Assistant director - Rev. Fr. Kenneth Crasta, Principal - Dr. Rio Dsouza, Vice Principal - Dr. Purushottama Chippar, Dean of student welfare- Dr.Ramananda H.S, Head of EEE Dept.- Dr.Sanath salaraya and Coordinator Mr.Joysun D souza, the event commenced with a prayer song by Ms.Danica and team, invoking a sense of reverence.
Mr. Sanjothomas extended a warm welcome, followed by the lighting of the lamp by dignitaries. Under the guidance of Br. Bleston Lobo, The new office bearers then took their oath, marking the beginning of their tenure. Br. Bleston Lobo emphasized AICUF's powerful motto, "We are born into an unjust society, and we are determined not to leave it as we have found it," and shared his insightful experiences, reiterating AICUF's commitment to social justice and transformation.
Br. Bleston Lobo was felicitated by dignitaries for his esteemed presence. Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash Dsouza, Director, addressed the gathering with inspiring words of encouragement and wisdom. Ms. Salomi Dsouza then presented a comprehensive report on the previous year's activities.
Dignitaries conferred honors upon President Mr. Sohan Mascarenhas and Women's Commission Head MsSalomi Dsouza,recognizing their exceptional leadership,unwavering dedication, and inspiring service to the AICUF-SJEC Unit and AICUF Karnataka for the term 2024-25.
As a token of appreciation, mementos were presented to all the Previous Animators, Core Committee, and Media Team of 2024-25, acknowledging their invaluable service and contributions. AICUF-SJEC Unit Coordinator- Mr.Joysun Dsouza formally concluded the proceedings with a heartfelt vote of thanks. The formal inauguration ceremony came to a close with everyone rising to sing the AICUF anthem. The program was hosted by Ms. Roveena Moras.
Following refreshments, the event effortlessly shifted into a lively series of fun activities, action songs, and games, conducted by Ms. Vinisha Dias. The activities fostered camaraderie among the 60 enthusiastic student participants. The inauguration marked a successful and memorable start for the AICUF SJEC Unit Association, embodying the spirit of leadership and community engagement
