ECE Department in association with NUTEC Nitte University had organized a FDP on " Patent and Research opportunities in India ” for the Faculty and Students of SJEC on March 29, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM. Dr Iddya Karunasagar Senior Director (Inteational Relations) at Nitte University in Mangalore was the resource person for the session. The session began at 10:00 AM in Prea Hall, Academic Block III.
Ms Reshma K J , Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE welcomed all and introduced the speaker. The resource person shared awareness among the participants regarding Patent registration process and formalities , Legislative Framework for IPR in India, Patent Law - Salient Features, Scope of Patentability Under The Patents Act, Patent databases for Prior Art search, Stages from filing to grant of a patent.
The resource person also discussed about Opportunities for faculty research funding, At the end of the session, the resource person interacted with the Faculty and students. Ms Jennifer, Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE compered the program. Dr Dayakshini, Professor and Head ECE Dept and Ms Reshma K J Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE coordinated the event.
