On the occasion of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahothsav, Prodigi- A student association of Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering & ISTE student chapter SJEC jointly organized a competition for II year ECE students on the topic Know Your States- A Team Presentation on 12th August 2022.
The Program started at 9:30 a.m. in the Fr. Fred Hall. The program began with the national song " Vande Matharam”. The judges, Mr. Prashanth Kurdekar, Caretaker SJEC-AIRWING NCC unit, serving as Assistant Professor in Dept. of Civil Engg. & Ms Reshma K J, serving as Assistant Professor, Dept. of ECE , were cordially welcomed to the program. The presentation competition started with state Sikkim and swept till Gujarat in west and Tamilnadu in south to Jammu & Kashmir in north. Each presentation of duration 3 minutes touched upon the art & culture, geography, food, tourism locations and well known personalities of that state. Few teams performed the dance forms of that state as well. Totally 15 teams participated in the competition. The team- Madhyapradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan bagged the 1st, 2nd & 3rd prices respectively. ECE faculties witnessed the competition. Ms Padmini Bhat, Prodigi coordinator & Ms Chaitra U R, ISTE Dept. coordinator distributed the prizes.
The event explored the heritage & rich culture of our motherland. This event was an effort to inculcate patriotism in young minds.
