The "PRAYATHNA 2023" five-day placement training program, organized by the Department of ECE, was held from 20 to 25 September 2023, at Spoorthi Hall. This program was designed to equip final-year ECE students to refresh the concepts in fundamental subjects and the skills needed for success in core company placements. The event was coordinated by the placement coordinators of the department Ms. Florence Nishmitha and Ms. Simi Thomas.

Subject: Analog Electronic Circuits

The session provided a comprehensive introduction to Analog Electronic Circuits, encompassing fundamental concepts such as RC circuits, operational amplifiers, transistors, and the art of circuit design tailored for specific applications.

Subject: Embedded Systems

The session had the dual purpose of imparting participants with a solid grasp of Embedded systems, covering fundamental concepts, while also equipping them with proficiency in the design, programming, and problem-solving aspects of embedded systems.

The session was designed to enrich participants' expertise and proficiency in the realm of Communication Systems, encompassing both Analog and Digital. It offered a thorough grasp of Analog Communication systems, delving into their fundamental principles, constituent components, and practical applications. Additionally, the session delved into Digital Modulation techniques, such as ASK, FSK, and PSK, along with their real-world applications.

The session had the goal of equipping participants with a thorough grasp of digital electronics principles, circuits, and their real-world applications. Furthermore, it aimed to cultivate problem-solving abilities in the field of digital electronics and empower participants to proficiently design and analyze digital systems.
Session 2: 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm
Resume review conducted by Mr Glenson Toney briefing the students on the format of the resume, the contents to be inculcated, and the key points to be highlighted. Mr Aldrin Claytus, Ms Jenifer, Ms Florence Nishmitha and Dr Arjun Sunil Rao reviewed the resumes of all the students through one-to-one interaction.
Session 3: 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm
Group Discussion paneled by Mr Glenson Toney, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE and Dr Binu K G, Professor, Dept of Mechanical Engineering conducted GD by combining students of ECE and Mechanical.
Session 4: 4.00 pm to 5.00 pm
A session on the importance of Networking and Developing Interpersonal skills was delivered by Ms Preetha Aroza, Counsellor, SJEC. The target audience included students in final year Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Day 4: [23/09/2023]
Session 1: 11.15 am to 1.00 pm
A simulated group discussion was organized for students, overseen by Ms. Preetha Aroza, the Campus Counsellor at SJEC. The primary focus was to assess students' communication skills and their ability to articulate their views on the assigned topic, while also emphasizing proper etiquette during a group discussion. Additionally, students were given the role of evaluators to give feedback to their peers who were part of GD, followed by a comprehensive review from the main panel.

It encompasses a range of topics, such as interview preparation, typical interview questions, interview etiquette, and strategies for effectively highlighting their skills and experiences. Effective communication in the corporate sector was demonstrated through an activity, while email etiquette was explained briefly.
