Department of ECE in association with IEEE SJEC Student Branch, IEEE Communication Society and IEEE Mangalore Subsection organized a brainstorming event named "Student Square" on 15 June 2022. It was based on 17 UN sustainable development goals where the teams had to select any one of the goals and suggest ideas on how to achieve them. The teams consisted of a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 4 members. It was an intercollegiate event held at Fr. Fred Memorial Hall, St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore. For this event, a total of 16 teams registered, of which 12 attended.
The judges for the event were Dr Yashwanth N, Asst Professor-Senior Scale, MIT, Manipal and Mr. Vijay Ganesh PC, Assistant Professor, Dept of ECE, SJEC.
The event was inaugurated at 10:00 am with a formal function. After which each team presented their ideas for 10 minutes followed by 5 minutes of Q&A session. The event concluded at 3:15 pm with the prize distribution ceremony.
