ECE: workshop on “Prototyping using PCB”

The SJEC-AICTE IDEA Lab in association with Samarthya, the Technical Club of the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and SJEC-Terror Bull Robotics organized a workshop on "Prototyping using PCB” on 5 th & 6 th of December 2022. The two days' workshop had thirty students from the third semester of Electronics & Communication Engineering. Ms Priya Miranda, Asst Prof., Department of ECE and members of Terror Bull Robotics were the resource persons for the workshop.

The hands-on workshop gave participants an insight into NodeMCU Platform, board layout, programming basics, PCB schematic designing using KiCAD and also PCB etching. The NodeMCU programming and KiCAD software training was conducted at the ECE DSP Lab and the PCB Etching as well as sensor integration followed by demonstration of the developed prototypes was held at SJEC-AICTE IDEA Lab. The workshop also had Code the Block Challenge where the students had to write code for NODEMCU for the defined problem. Dr Purushothama Chippar, Coordinator, SJEC-AICTE IDEA Lab & Vice-Principal, SJEC and Dr Dayakshini, Prof.  & Head, Department of ECE flagged off the Event.
