Mock Interview

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at St Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru, organized a comprehensive Mock Interview session on 24 May 2025 from 9.00am to 4.30pm as part of its UDAAN 2025 initiative, which focuses on career preparedness and industry readiness. The objective was to provide students with an opportunity to experience a professional interview setup and understand the expectations of the corporate world. Held within the department premises, the event was open to all pre-final year students, and a total of 108 enthusiastic participants availed this opportunity to test their technical knowledge and interpersonal skills in a real-time interview environment.

The interviews were conducted by a panel of seasoned professionals from reputed companies, ensuring a diverse and enriching evaluation experience for the students. The HR and technical interviewers included Diana Bangera (Novigo Solutions), Sanjana Gopal (EGDK India Pvt Ltd), Krithika Saralaya (Invenger Technologies Pvt Ltd), Ananya Hebbar (Semnox Solutions), Priya Bhat M (Exito Media Concepts), Royston N. Lobo (Schneider Electric Pvt Ltd), Shradha C. H. (Accord Software and Systems), Anil S. Nayar (ACL Digital), Carlton Lobo (SiFive, Inc.), Cadell Alvares (Intel Corporation), Sowmya (Renesas Electronics), Froyd Aslan V. F. (Availity India Private Limited), and Monisha P. Fernandes (Talent Acquisition Specialist). Students were interviewed on parameters such as technical competence, clarity of communication, logical thinking, problem-solving ability, and behavioral responses. Panelists also offered valuable feedback and improvement tips, helping students identify strengths and work on areas needing refinement.

The entire event was meticulously coordinated by Ms. Florence Nishmitha, Ms. Nandini Maninarayana, and Dr. Aldrin Claytus Vaz from the Department of ECE. The session was well-received by the students, many of whom reported increased awareness of interview dynamics, improved confidence, and motivation to further enhance their technical preparation. This mock interview marked an important step in preparing students for the placement season and exemplified the department’s proactive approach in aligning academic experiences with industry demands.
