The Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering in association with the Placement and Training Group organized “Open House 2024” for the 6th semester students of Dept. of ECE on 17/05/2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Fr Fred Hall, AB-1. The objectives of the event were to address the specific needs and challenges faced by ECE students in their pursuit of successful placements. Ms Nissi Linnet Dsouza, Mr Prashanth Parashurama Koti, Mr Shravan, Mr Sonal Tennison Monis, Ms Swathi Rai M and Mr Vinod Nikhil Monteiro, students from the 8th semester ECE were the panel members for the discussion. The students spoke about their preparations for placements; how the projects, internships and courses done via various platforms and the grooming etiquettes helped them during their interviews. Also, they highlighted the need of programming knowledge during IT as well as Core placements. Dr Dayakshini, HOD-ECE and Mr Glenson Toney, Training Coordinator, addressed the students on the placement preparations. The The session was moderated by Ms Nandini Maninarayana and Ms Florence Nishmitha, Asst. Profs, Dept. of ECE and was coordinated by Mr Sathyendra Bhat, Head – Training & Placement; Mr Glenson Toney, Training Coordinator; Mr Radhakrishna and Dr Aldrin Claytus Vaz, Asst. Profs, Dept. of ECE. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session where participants had the opportunity to seek further clarification and engage with the panel members.
