The Department of Business Administration, St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru, organized an enriching session titled ‘Making the Leap: From Academics to Industry’ for second-year MBA students on 7th February 2025.
Mr. Michael Andrade, Director of Lykora Consulting Services, Mangalore was the resource person of the session. Mr. Andrade, with over three decades of professional experience in Sales, Business Development, and Talent Acquisition, captivated the audience with his insights and practical knowledge. Having worked with global giants like Abbott and Eli Lilly, and with expertise across industries such as Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, Mr. Andrade shared invaluable lessons from his career.
Mr. Michael Andrade emphasized the importance of stepping out of one’s comfort zone to explore new opportunities and grow. He highlighted resilience, adaptability, and emotional intelligence as key traits for handling challenges effectively. He explained that resilience helps individuals bounce back from difficulties, while adaptability enables them to thrive in ever-changing work environments.
Additionally, he described emotional intelligence as essential for understanding others and building strong relationships. He also encouraged continuous learning to stay competitive and stressed integrity as the foundation of trust and success. He emphasized that these qualities are essential for success in today’s evolving corporate world.
