HireWire- Mock Interview Session

The Department of Business Administration at St. Joseph Engineering College organized the HireWire- Mock Interview on 24th August 2024, specifically designed for first-year MBA students. This event was a key initiative under the college's placement and training activities Udaan-2024, to prepare students for the rigorous demands of real-world job interviews. The primary objective of the mock interview was to provide students with a simulated interview experience, helping them to understand the dynamics of a professional interview setting. Receive constructive feedback from experienced industry professionals and Identify areas of improvement in communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. 

The event featured a diverse and highly experienced panel of industry professionals who contributed their expertise to the event's success. The panelists included Industry experts like Diana Bangera: Associate Lead HRBP, Novigo Solutions Ananya Hebbar: Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, MResult, Likitha Poojary: Lead HR, CodeCraft, Delan Lobo: Operations Executive, Almasons Consulting, LLC, Priyanka Kamath: HR Executive, Primesophic Technologies, Shwetha P: Analyst - Talent Acquisition, GlowTouch Technologies, John Rohan: Client Services Manager, E-SoftSys LLC, Divya: Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, EG India, Cedan Misquith: Engineering Manager, 7EDGE, Jaison Periera: Human Resource Specialist, EG India and Kevin Rebello: Operations & Customer Service Director, Cheggout along with the external experts the panel also consisted the internal experts.

The event commenced at 10:30 AM with a brief introduction of the panel members and an overview of the day's schedule. Each student was allotted a specific time slot for their interview, where they faced questions designed to test their knowledge, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills. Throughout the day, the panelists conducted interviews, after which they provided detailed feedback to each student. This feedback was crucial in helping the students understand their strengths and areas for improvement. The interviews also discussed industry expectations, current trends, and how students could align their skills with market demands.
