On October 4, 2024, the Department of Business Administration at St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) hosted the highly anticipated “INGENIOUS-2024” Business Plan Contest in Spoorthi Hall, Academic Block III. Coordinated by Ms Acharya Chitralekha, Assistant Professor, MBA with support from student coordinators Dhanush, Evania, Ralan, Rishanth, Nuha, and Fathima, Students, I MBA, this event served as an exciting platform for students to present their innovative business ideas, fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship and creativity.
The competition witnessed an overwhelming response, with 26 submissions from students across various departments, leading to the selection of 10 outstanding teams that showcased their projects. The selected teams were:

As the Master of Ceremony, Nuha warmly welcomed attendees, expressing enthusiasm about the event and its focus on innovation, creativity, and strategy. She introduced the esteemed judges, emphasizing their significant contributions to the field. Mr. Padmanabha Nayak, Partner, Shri Ram Paints and Hardware, the judge for the event, is a known personnel for his extensive experience in guiding young entrepreneurs, making him an ideal judge. Dr. Anjali Ganesh, the internal Judge is also acknowledged to be a distinguished educator with over 30 years of experience and a prolific researcher with 155 published research papers.
Each team was allotted 8 minutes to present their ideas, followed by 2 minutes (additional time) and a 3-minute Q&A session with the judges. The innovative solutions presented spanned various areas, including technology, sustainability, entertainment, and education.
After the presentations, both judges shared their thoughts on the event. Mr. Nayak emphasized the importance of innovation and originality in today's competitive landscape, commending the participants for their creativity. Meanwhile, Dr. Anjali Ganesh highlighted the significance of the competition in nurturing young talent and encouraged participants to continue pursuing their entrepreneurial dreams.
Following the judges' remarks, students shared their positive experiences and insights gained during the competition. As the event progressed, Nuha announced the awards ceremony.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Ms. Fathima Nassar, who recognized the efforts of participants, organizers, and judges. Nuha wrapped up the event by expressing gratitude to all the participants for making Ingenious 2024 an inspiring and impactful occasion.
Following the conclusion of the event, participation certificates were distributed to all participants, recognizing their efforts and contributions to the competition.
