A highly insightful session on “Journey from Campus to Corporate” was conducted by Prof. Ronald Pinto, Director, Institute for Individual Development, Mangalore on 29 th January 2025 from 11.15 am to 12.30 pm in Spoorthi Hall, 7 th Floor, ABIII. The session aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and corporate expectations by equipping students with essential skills for professional success.
Prof. Pinto emphasized the importance of employability skills in today’s competitive job market. He highlighted that technical knowledge alone is insufficient; employers also look for soft skills such as adaptability, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership. He advised students to work on personality development, industry awareness, and digital proficiency to enhance their employability. Effective time management was another crucial aspect discussed
in the session. Prof. Pinto stressed the significance of communication skills in professional growth. He elaborated on verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, and email etiquette. He advised students to practice public speaking, engage in discussions, and enhance their writing skills to effectively convey their ideas in a corporate setting.
