Department of Business Administration in association with Research and Facilities Group organised a One Day Research Development Program on ‘ AI-assisted Manuscript Writing’ by Dr K. S. Sowmiya Rani Ph.D, Editor, Editage (Cactus Communications), Founder, Editor, & Reviewer at Sowmis_AWW on 30 May 2024 for research scholars and faculty of SJEC.
The program commenced with an inauguration. Dr K. S. Sowmiya Rani Ph.D was the chief guest for the program. Dr Prakash Pinto, Dean-MBA, welcomed the gathering. Dr Rio D’Souza, Principal, SJEC was the guest of honour. Rev Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director, SJEC presided over the inauguration. Dr Babitha Rohit, Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks and Ms Anarghya S., Lecturer, Department of Physics compered the program.
The fore noon session began with the Introduction to over 20 AI tools specific for various aspects of scientific writing and publishing: validating research questions, literature review, Gen-AI writing, grant writing, presentation, image creation and data analysis.
In the afternoon Hands-on lab session was conducted. Dr K. S. Sowmiya Rani demonstrated tools like Consensus, Elicit, Scispace, Thrix, Paperpal, Trinka, Quillbot, Wordtune, Zoreto and others. Research scholars and faculty of SJEC participated in these sessions.
