Inauguration of PG Courses - Batch 2024-26
The inauguration of the PG Courses for the Batch 2024-26 at St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, was held on 17th December 2024 at the Kalam Auditorium, Vth Floor, Academic Block II. The event commenced with a prayer song, invoking blessings for the academic journey ahead.
Dr. Hareesh B, Head of the MCA Department, welcomed the gathering, setting a positive tone for the occasion. Following this, the dignitaries on the dais participated in the lighting of the lamp, marking the beginning of the program.
Dr. Rio D'Souza, Principal of SJEC, addressed the gathering, welcoming the new students and encouraging them to approach their studies with humility, professionalism, and a desire to grow. He emphasized the importance of self-discovery, teamwork, and commitment in shaping their future.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Jackson D Silva, IT Administrator at Dubai British School, was invited to felicitate the PGCET rank holders from MBA and MCA. In his address, he inspired the students, stating that postgraduate education is not just a continuation of learning, but a transformative leap into a realm where students become contributors to knowledge, innovators, and pioneers in their respective domains. He encouraged the students to approach their journey with an open mind, a thirst for learning, and the courage to experiment.

Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D'Souza, Director of SJEC, addressed the gathering, encouraging the students to excel not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities, and to make the most of the opportunities available to them at SJEC.
Fr Kenneth Crasta, Asst Director, SJEC and Dr Prakash Pinto, Dean of Department of Department of Business Administration were also present. Mr Nelson Marvin Fernandes, Assistant Professor, MBA, Convener of the program rendered the vote of thanks. Ms Pra Preema Rodrigues ,Asst. Professor, MBA and Ms Nischita, Assistant professor, MCA department compered the programme.
The program marked a promising beginning for the academic year 2024-26, motivating the students to strive for excellence in all their endeavors.
