Session on "Corporate Etiquette and Grooming" for MBA students

A session on Corporate Etiquette and Grooming was conducted for the MBA students of St. Joseph Engineering College on August 19, 2024. The primary objective of the session was to equip the students with essential knowledge and skills related to professional behaviour and appearance, which are crucial for success in the corporate world. Prof. Glenson Toney, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Training Coordinator of St. Joseph Engineering College was the resource person. Prof. Glenson emphasized the significance of creating a positive first impression in professional settings. He discussed the role of attire, body language, and communication skills in shaping perceptions. The resource person provided practical guidelines for selecting appropriate attire for different corporate environments. He highlighted the importance of maintaining personal hygiene and grooming standards. The session covered various aspects of effective communication, including verbal and non-verbal cues. Prof. Glenson discussed the importance of active listening, clear articulation, and appropriate tone and volume. The students were introduced to essential business etiquette principles, such as proper introductions, and meeting behaviour.
