The Department of Business Administration, St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru, organized a session on Money Talk: Personal Finance for Gen Z for MBA/MCA/BE students on 13 May 2025 in Prerana Hall.
Dr Babitha Rohit, Associate Professor and Head of Research Centre, Department of Business Administration, SJEC was the resource person for the session. She has over 25 years of academic experience teaching finance electives. In addition, she has interests in personal finance and investments. She is zealous about educating the young generation about the nuances of personal finance.
Dr Babitha Rohit discussed the necessity of personal finance for the young people. She emphasised the role of budgeting to keep track of expenses. She stressed on the need for setting goals as individuals and touched upon various investment alternatives. She advised the young minds on using debt smartly and choosing insurance diligently. A brief Q&A session followed seeking more insights on the session.
